If you want something new, I can say that I recently bought a new Sonare for a few dollars under $1000 and it's a great flute. Used is probably the way to go if you want more instrument for the buck, but it's a lot of work on your part to make sure that you get what you want. ![]() I think with an upper limit of $1000, you're going to have a harder time of things. It's more about the quality of construction than specific features. They're just options, and you can just as easily get a crappy instrument with all of them as you can a fantastic instrument with none of them. ![]() Material (for the most part), open hole, and B foot aren't indications of an "intermediate" or "professional" flute. ![]()
